ABOUT

Artist statement

I am a video and performance artist.
My works emerge from the encounter between the body and charged public spaces — forgotten, unresolved, complex places.
I explore how architectural, political, or functional planning is reflected through bodily sensations — when the body meets the space.

Each work begins with research — walking, documenting, investigating the history and structure of a site.
But the most meaningful moments happen when the body enters: when the contact with a wall, the slope of the ground, or the quality of light invites an instinctive response.
The actions I perform are simple yet deeply physical — they examine the boundaries of presence, duration, belonging, and the fragile negotiation between body and space.

My work attempts to dwell in spaces where rest is impossible,
and to invite the viewer to linger there with me —
within the discomfort, within the pause, within the possibility of meeting time from the inside.

I am drawn to places that are on the edge of attention — public spaces that protect and neglect at once.
As a former dancer, I often perceive these spaces as a kind of stage: rough, exposed, and unresolved.
My work begins with walking, searching, mapping — but it truly unfolds through the body: falling, resting, resisting.
In each site, I ask: how long can I stay? And what stays after I leave?
